Chelsea are leading the race to sign Real Madrid’s left-back, Sergio Reguilón, who is currently on loan at Sevilla.
In our exclusive report last week, we explained how Chelsea have placed the Spaniard as number two left-back target with Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell still on top of the list.
But with Leicester City demanding more than £70m to release the England International, a deal remains doubtful, as Chelsea aren’t willing to pay more than £50m.
That makes Reguilón’s deal even more important. The 23-year-old is valued at €25m by his parent club, Real Madrid and there is an interest from the player to join Chelsea. His old social media activities suggest he is a huge Chelsea fan.
Everything seems to be falling into place. According to latest report by popular Spanish publication, AS, Chelsea are leading Napoli in the race for his signature because they will play in the Champions League next season, something Napoli can’t offer him.
Chelsea fans will be happy to know that the club is still very much interested in signing Reguilón as a good number of them don’t want to Ben Chilwell to be the club’s starting left-back next season.
