West Brom manager Slaven Bilic has hailed Chelsea loanee, Conor Gallagher after his goal-scoring performance against Sheffield United last night.

Gallagher scored West Brom’s lone goal which earned the Premier League strugglers all three points at home.

Bilic was full of praise for the youngster and revealed he played with an ankle injury which made the performance more impressive.

“He’s got a bit of everything,” Bilic said.

“He’s very calm on the ball, he’s very energetic, he loves to get in the box. A couple of days ago he twisted his ankle a little bit and there was a major doubt, but he wanted to play.

“He showed character and I’m really happy with his goal and his contribution. If he continues like this he could be massive for us.”

The victory moved West Brom out of the relegation zone in the Premier League.
