Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour is set to return to full fitness within two months, that’s in early November, according to Scottish publication, Herald and Times Sport.

The report stated that the midfielder has removed his leg brace and is currently doing light gym sessions and work in the pool as first steps towards recovery.

The Scotland U21 international sustained the knee injury against Crystal Palace in a Premier League clash in July and was expected to be out of action for three to four months, as explained by Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

“Gilmour has had an operation on his knee this morning,” Lampard said few days after the injury.

“He will be out for between three or four months, unfortunately. He’s a tough boy but it’s hit him hard.”

The 19-year-old is clearly making good progress and is well on schedule to make his return from injury in November.
