Chelsea are ahead of other clubs who are interested in signing Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilón, according to Spanish publication, AS.
The Spaniard is currently having a fantastic season on loan at Sevilla, helping them into the semi-final of the Europa League.
AS explained that despite his great season at Pizjuán, he is not part of plans of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, who feels comfortable with Marcelo as Mendy’s backup.
The report stated that Real Madrid will ask for €25m which Napoli and Sevilla are reluctant to pay, leaving Chelsea and Arsenal as the main contenders.
However, the blues have the upper hand as the 23-year-old wants to play in the Champions League league next season.
