The 28-year-old had a meeting the club officials today and they told him that a move to Chelsea has been finalised and he will be a Chelsea player within the next few days.
The Senegal international has always been attracted to Chelsea and was very happy with today’s news about his transfer.
The transfer fee is reported to be around €30m but a final fee is not yet known and might be in the same range as reported.
Chelsea will now focus their efforts on West Ham’s Declan Rice. The main barrier is the €80m asking price but Chelsea led by Marina Granovskaia will look to lower the price down.
