Despite reports of failed multiple bids from Chelsea for West Ham United’s Declan Rice, we have been told that it’s not true.

According to a TBS source, Chelsea are still unsure whether to make a bid for the midfielder this summer or wait until next summer window.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is a keen admirer of the former Chelsea Academy boy but he knows it would be tough to take him away from West Ham this summer considering their £70m asking price.

“Declan is willing to come back to Stamford Bridge but the club knows they can sign him for £20m cheaper next summer or even better if West Ham are relegated” – TBS source said.

However, our source also stated that if Chelsea are forced to sell Jorginho or Kante, then a late bid for Declan Rice is possible but at the moment there is no plan to sell any one of the two players this summer.
