It’s been a very successful transfer window for Chelsea buying 8 players and looking at another in the form of Declan Rice. But the club haven’t sold a lot of players this season..there have been a couple of loans but nothing more than that. So let’s look at the Chelsea players that need to be sold

– Kepa Arrizabalaga

Since joining the blues for a record transfer fee of 80M€ the Spanish goalkeeper has been a huge flop for the team in blue. With a strong start to his career at Chelsea in the 18/19 season was followed by a lot of poor performances in the 19/20 season and a very bad start to the 20/21 season.

There hasn’t been much noise around Chelsea selling Kepa, there have been rumours about a loan move to either Valencia or Roma but nothing more. Kepa needs to leave Chelsea for his own future and career. This is the perfect moment to move on from his poor journey in England however the club value him at 40M€ and it’s gonna take time to find buyers for the Spanish goalkeeper.

– Danny Drinkwater

Another transfer flop for Chelsea. Danny Drinkwater was bought in 2017 for an astonishing 40M€. It was clear since the beginning that Drinkwater will flop here which has been proved by how many minutes he spent on the pitch for the English giants.
Again the same situation with Kepa, not a lot of rumours about Drinkwater’s departure but again if Danny wants to play football and revive his career he has to leave Chelsea and maybe join a club like Burnley or Newcastle where he will get game time.

– Emerson Palmieri

Emerson was bought in January 2018 for a fee of 20M€. His situation at the club, however, is much better than Kepa or Drinkwater. Emerson has had some good moments at Chelsea, for example, the beginning of the 19/20 season and the ending of the 18/19 season were very strong for the Italian.

There was a huge interest from Italian giants Inter as per Fabrizio Romano but the deal has crushed because of Inter signing Alexander Kolarov. There has been interest from West Ham United but nothing concrete. Emerson has been a very forgettable player for Chelsea and he needs to leave Chelsea or he will be a rotten player and nobody will be interested in his services.

– Tiémoué Bakayoko

Tiémoué Bakayoko was bought from Monaco In 2017 for £40 million. He made 29 appearances for Chelsea before he was sent on loan to AC Milan in 2018/19 season where he made 31 sweet appearances in Serie A. Last season, he joined AS Monaco in Ligue 1 and made 21 appearances…

Some clubs are interested in him on loan, like Milan (Loan + buy option), Paris Saint-Germain (also loan + buy option).

– Michy Batshuayi

Michy Batshuayi fell down the pecking order at Chelsea as Frank Lampard used him mainly in EFL Cup, Carabao Cup and FA Cup, making some 10 appearances before joining Crystal Palace on loan.

What will Chelsea get from selling these players?

They can get enough money to buy Declan Rice. They need the player because Lampard wants him. The transfer window opened on Monday July 27. It will run for 10 weeks and closes on Monday, Oct. 5 before the UEFA competition squad deadline.
