A bit of news that may steal the smile away from Chelsea fans.

Germany are due to face Switzerland in a Nations League game on 7th September.

Recently there has been a spike in coronavirus cases in Switzerland due to which the UK government has made it mandatory for people coming in Switzerland to quarantine themselves for 14 days.

This will have a drastic effect on Chelsea team with players like Anthony Rudiger, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz due to feature for their national team and will be travelling to Switzerland. They may have to follow a 14-day quarantine when they arrive back in London which will give huge team selection problems for Lampard.

Chelsea already have 8 first team players in quarantine, their quarantine period is due to end on 10th September. So they may still feature in our first game which is on 14th September.

While German players may not feature in initial games. The wait to see all of them together in a blue jersey may go on till the last week of September.

However, there is a possibility that football players may be exempted from quarantine considering they will be in a biosecure bubble.

We may have to wait a little longer to see all our star players play together.
