Chelsea kick-off their 20/21 campaign with an away fixture to Brighton on September 14th.
Brighton boss Potter believes Chelsea will fight for the title this season and had something to say about Chelsea and Lampard in this press conference:
“From the signings they have made, the intention is clear – they want to compete at the top,” he said.
“They had a really good season finishing fourth despite an [transfer] embargo and they also reached the FA Cup final while introducing young players.
“A club like Chelsea with a manager like Frank Lampard wants to push on towards the title now and that’s the aim.”
“They’ve got some really good players and I have no doubt they’ll be a really strong side this season.”
😁 Good morning!
Graham Potter will be with us shortly to speak to the media ahead of @ChelseaFC on Monday.

Managers and Pundits pitting Chelsea against the top Premier League and European clubs is an indication of Chelsea’s ambition as a club. Chelsea is no more a club that aims to get a Champions League spot but a club that aims to fight for the title every year.
