Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for their former Academy star Declan Rice.

Signing the West Ham midfielder has become a dream of Chelsea manager Frank Lampard who is likely to continue pushing until he lands the defensive midfielder.

Rice is valued at £70m by his club, West Ham. His rise has surprised many but not Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola who predicted in 2018 that Rice would become a top player.

“Declan Rice is an excellent young player and he will be a top English player for many years to come,” Guardiola said after a match against West Ham in 2018, quoted by Football London.

According to latest reports, Chelsea will try to resign Declan Rice once they complete the transfer of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
