Chelsea manager Frank Lampard seems to be calm over the injury sustained by Hakim Ziyech during Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Brighton.

The Moroccan who was making his debut was influential for the blues during his time on the pitch. His perfect cross-field pass was flicked to Timo Werner’s by Hudson-Odoi for the German’s first goal for Chelsea.

The former Ajax star was forced to leave the pitch in the second half after appearing to hurt his knee at the Amex.

After the game, Lampard described it as ‘a little twist to the knee that will have to be assessed’, according to a report on The 5th Stand app.

However, it looks like good news for Chelsea as Ziyech said on Instagram that he can’t wait for the start of the season.

Chelsea fans will be hoping to have the ‘Wizard of London’ fully fit before the start of the Premier League in two weeks time.
