Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has opened up how his personality affects his family after every defeat.

The Chelsea legend admitted he takes defeats very bad which makes him impossible to hang out with but hailed his wife Christine Lampard for being an understanding companion.

“We’re not allowed to arrange dinners or any kind of get-together after games in case the worst comes to the worst because if we lose I’m a nightmare,” said Lampard, as quotes by Tribal Football.

“I can’t help it, it’s just par for the course. I had a year in the media, which was an absolute comedown from the pressures of playing and the pressures I get now, and as Christine will joke I was a much better, easier, relaxed Frank. What you need is a really understanding family.”

Lampard was under immense pressure last season but managed to win Champions League ticket for Chelsea.

He has started this season reasonably well, with Chelsea 5th in the table and on a 4-game winning streak in all competitions.
