Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has reiterated his desire to hold on to N’golo Kante despite interests from other clubs.

Kante has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer but Lampard is in no mood to entertain any transfer talk for the midfielder.

“I think every club in the world wants a player like Kanté, he’s an incredible player,” Lampard told BBC 5 Sport Live podcast, as quoted by Sempre Inter.

“I certainly don’t want to lose him, as he is very important for the type of style I want to play. In the last season, he did not have the continuity that he did in the last 4-5 years due to some injuries.

“Now, however, he is really fine. So I’m happy to have him with me and I definitely want to keep him.”

Kante who was given the captain’s armband in the recent friendly game against Brighton is likely to be in Chelsea’s starting eleven against the same team on Monday.
