Chelsea played a friendly game against Wimbledon AFC at Cobham this after.
Goal’s reporter Nizaar Kinsella confirmed the news on 14th September about a friendly game taking place on the next day.

Chelsea drew against Wimbledon in a game that featured some of Wimbledon’s first-team players with Chelsea parading most of their potential loanees.
The final score was 1-1, a trialist (Zach Robinson) for Wimbledon scored their first goal in the 18th minute with Victor Moses levelling it for the blues from the spot in the 23rd minute.
England U-17 keeper Matthew Cox was the GK for the Chelsea side with a mix of young and senior Chelsea players featuring in the match.

The most notable players among the Chelsea XI were Danny Drinkwater and Victor Moses with the latter sealing the draw for the blues.
Initially, it was thought Thiago Silva would feature in the game to get some minutes before beginning his season with the first team but so far there is no indication that Thiago Silva featured in the game.
This game has further helped some players get more minutes to be ready for the season ahead.
