Chelsea new goalkeeper Édouard Mendy is currently enjoying his early start in the Premier League with Chelsea.

The Senegalese was outstanding in Chelsea’s goalless draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend, earning praises from players, managers, fans and pundits.

He single-handedly kept Chelsea in the game and earned his new club an important point at rival’s home which followed

The goalless draw means Mendy has kept two clean sheets in his first two games (excluding league cup), becoming the first goalkeeper since Petr Cech to do so.

Remarkably, the 28-year-old goalkeeper also arrived Stamford Bridge from French side Rennes just like Petr Cech did in 2004.

Mendy joined Chelsea from Rennes for £22m in the summer transfer window.
