Former Arsenal star, Lukas Podolski has hailed Chelsea target Kai Havertz, branding him a really good creative midfielder.

The 21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen star has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge with his club’s CEO revealing a few days ago that he has told them he wants to leave the club.

Podolski, who also played in Bundesliga before moving to English Premier League said he has no doubts about Kai’s talent to questioned if he can adapt to the Premier League.

“He’s a great talent. On the ball, he is so creative, but he’s still young — let’s see if he can fit into the Premier League,” he said, as reported by The Sun.

“I think he is still missing some strength and power, but he should taste the drink of the Premier League and see if he likes it.

“I did, but I knew I would like it. I’m strong, I have a good shot, I’m from the street, I’m like a pitbull. I knew I could deal with the Premier League with the long balls, the physical side and the referees.”

Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly trying to reach an agreement that will suit both parties.
