Chelsea fans had an exciting last week as expected and we have completed a total of five signings.

In all this noise around the signing of Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and expected Kai Havertz. The first signing of the Lampard era Hakim Ziyech is getting overshadowed. His creativity is going to have a vital role to play this season.

This what our Legend Frank Lampard had to say about him after signing him.

‘I know his qualities. He’s a player we hope can bring creativity. He has a great left foot, plays generally off the right-hand side but can play in behind the frontman as well. He will be something different for us so we’re excited.’

In yesterday’s friendly we all saw how lethal he can be with his crosses. He is excellent in his long passes which Chelsea was lacking from past few seasons. Ziyech could provide us with those pinpoint crosses from set pieces that was missing last season.

Against Brighton  Ziyech was involved in creating three chances which was the most. He also had a passing accuracy of 92% in the final third. .He would have definitely created more chances had he played 90 minutes.

Ziyech is not afraid to shoot as well. His stats proves it all. Ziyech joined Ajax in 2017/18, since then he has been directly involved in 734 shots, on an average one every 9.6 minutes.

Chelsea needed that creator in the final third, that’s where Ziyech comes in. As a Chelsea fan it is definitely a exciting times awaiting and Ziyech would definitely prove to be a bargain for just £36m in between all these flashy signings.
Remember the name – HAKIM ZIYECH.
