Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is attracting interest from Spanish giants Barcelona according to Kicker.
The Germany international has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford and hasn’t featured for the blues this season.
Kicker reports that the former Stuttgart and AS Roma defender is at the top of the wish list at FC Barcelona and his ex-club AS Roma.
Barcelona sold Portuguese defender Nelson Semedo to Wolves and want to use the money to bolster their backline this summer.
The report suggests that Barca want to take him on loan with an option to buy next summer but Chelsea will demand permanent transfer as the centre-back is also attracting interest from Premier League clubs and AS Roma.
The 27-year-old’s contract is set to expire in 2023 but Kicker reveals that Chelsea wanted to offer him a contract extension a few weeks ago but everything has changed at the moment as Chelsea manager Frank Lampard no longer sees him as part of his plans going forward.
Rudiger is not interested in seeing out his contract on the bench at Stamford and intends to leave the club as soon as possible.
