Chelsea rejected the chance to sign the 30 years old Bosnia and Herzegovina international, Miralem Pjanic in a swap deal with Jorginho.

Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho, had been linked with a move back to Italy to be reunited with Sarri who he had worked together with at Napoli and Chelsea. Sarri has since been replaced by Andrea Pirlo in the Juventus dugout.

Talking to Tuttomercatoweb, Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos claimed, “Juventus had offered a swap deal including Miralem Pjanic, but the English side didn’t take it into consideration.”

He further elaborated on the possible deal, “Paratici [Sporting director of Juventus] never called me. Would he have moved to Juventus with Sarri? I think so.”

Pjanic has now joined Spanish side Barcelona and Jorginho’s future at Chelsea is still up in the air.
