Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has backed Chelsea to be there among the title challengers come the end of the season.

Newcastle United will host Chelsea at St. James Park tomorrow with the Blues riding high after four straight wins in all competitions before the international break.

The Frank Lampard-led side will hope to extend their winning run against Newcastle, who have a good record at home against Chelsea.

Steve Bruce knows that records won’t matter when they face new-look Chelsea tomorrow.

“They have bought exceptionally good players, and that makes life a little bit easier if you are Chelsea I suppose,” he said.

“Of course, you have to find the right balance and they certainly seem to have got that.

“They look a very good side. I believe personally they will be there or thereabout (in the title race) with the changes they have made.”
