The 2019/2020 season has been a turpsy turvy season for Chelsea’s Number 9 Striker, Tammy Abraham.

The Chelsea fanbase has been critical of his performances regardless of his goal output last season.

Tammy Abraham had a total of 19 goals in all competition – 15 goals in English Premier League in 34 appearances, 9 of those as a substitute. He scored 3 goals in the UEFA Champions League in 7 appearances where he came in as a substitute in only 1 game.

The main criticism by critics of Tammy Abraham has been his wastefulness and indecision in front of goal and this is rightly so.

But while this is true, it should be noted the young striker is just 22 years old and only a handful of strikers within that age range can brag of such feat in their first full season with their parent club.

Didier Drogba, who is a CHELSEA legend and undoubtedly our most prolific striker to date, didn’t have those statistics when compared to Tammy Abraham in his first year.

Didier Drogba had 16 goals in all competition in which he had an appearance of 40 games. Though he had an injury that kept him off the pitch for 2 months. Tammy Abraham also had his fair share of injuries last season.

With the addition of Timo Werner to the attacking force, it yet to be seen what the new season holds for Tammy Abraham but we hope it gets better.

He is young, has a good approach and mentality to the game and has gained some new experience with relations to the English Premier League which is a plus.

We hope this turns into a better output and decisiveness when in front of goal scoring opportunities.
