Thiago Silva recently spoke about his ambitions with Chelsea, his desire to win and his mistake in the West Brom game.

The 36-year-old said on Instagram:

“I am upset, but I take responsibility for the mistake I made, as I always did. As difficult as it may be, we have to get over this and move on.”

“I promise to all of you that I will give everything I have on the pitch, putting all my energy and commitment into the games to come,”

Speaking in Chelsea Crystal Palace programme, as quoted by, he said:

‘I’m not here just to go through the motions, or just for the experience – I’m here to win,’

‘I want everyone to be very clear about that: I’m going to give my all to make sure that Chelsea win.

‘I didn’t come here to dine out in London or visit the tourist sites. I came to play football, to work, and that’s what I’m preparing for. I’m certain, with the group of players we’ve got and a coach who’s a natural leader, that we’ll be in the fight for every piece of silverware going this year.’

Chelsea have recently recruited Anthony Barry to help with their defensive woes but as past results have told us, Chelsea have just not figured out their defence yet.

Thiago Silva will surely help with the process and will hope to keep Chelsea’s defensive record up there with the top clubs.
