Chelsea striker Timo Werner is enjoying his time at Chelsea following a summer move from Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig.

The Germany international has been one of Chelsea’s best performers so far this season.

The striker says it’s easy to adapt and fun to work with club legends at Cobham.

“As a child, you don’t see much of the teams in the Premier League but you see them in the Champions League, so you see Chelsea, Manchester United,” he told Three UK, quoted by Tribal Football.

“These were the clubs in my youth that won a lot so maybe [Cristiano] Ronaldo or when you are here, you hear [about Didier] Drogba and also Frank Lampard the manager, they have a lot of legends in the club here.

“When you come here and see they are working for the club, you see them and you were like a child like 10 or something, you see Ashley Cole, Lampard or Petr Cech you think ‘it’s crazy, I’m here now with them!’ It’s a lot of fun.”

The 24-year-old signed a 5-year deal after Chelsea activated his €50m release clause at RB Leipzig.
