Chelsea midfielder, Hakim Ziyech has dropped a clue he’s getting ever closer to return to first-team football.
The Moroccan injured his knee in a pre-season friendly match against Brighton last month and has been out since then.
“Hakim Ziyech took an injury to his knee against Brighton in the friendly game so he won’t be fit,” Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said before Chelsea’s first game of the season against Brighton.
“We hope it’s a matter of weeks, hopefully, a couple of weeks, but we will have to see on that one.”
However, the winger posted a few pictures of his training sessions on Instagram, suggesting he’s getting closer to return to action.
While Crystal Palace on Saturday could be too soon for him to start, but a return to the bench is not ruled out at the moment.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will provide more update during his pre-match press conference tomorrow.
